From a Canadian point of view I would mention The CF-105 AVRO Arrow.
This will not be forgotten along with the fools that ordered the program
terminated and the existing aircraft being cut-up and destroyed.
Also worthy of mention is the CF-100 Canuck, first non swept winged
aircraft to break the sound barrier in a dive and the only Canadian

designed
jet fighter to go into production.

I neglected to mention the CF-102 Avro Jetliner, the second passenger
liner built. Yes folks, the very successful 707 was third. The CF-102
never went into production because of the Korean and Cold war. The plant
was needed for the production of the CF-100 so the CF102 Jetliner was
cancelled.
