In-person Condor Regional Contest

Sean Fidler (F2) of the Ionia non-club and I are organizing an in-
person Condor regional contest to be held in January in a location
convenient to U.S. Region 6 area (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky)
pilots.

The idea is to hold a contest that is as close to a real-life regional
soaring contest as possible, but over a weekend in a conference room
rather than over a week at a soaring site. Of course, in Condor-land
we will fly every 'day' as weather and terrain conditions are not a
problem! ;-).

The contest site will be selected to be a location with Region 6 as
convenient as possible to all pilots signed up by Dec 2, 2011. If
the majority of registrants opt for the MLK weekend (Jan 13-16) then
we will do 5 full 'days' of racing - practice day on Friday evening,
Days 1-2 on Saturday, 3-4 on Sunday, and 5/awards ceremony on Monday.
Otherwise it will be 4 contest days (practice on Friday, 1-2 on
Saturday, 3-4/Awards on Sunday).

Registration fee is $25 and that includes a T-shirt. Awards will be
given for top three finishers. Deadline for input to date and place
selection is Dec 2, 2011 (late registrants will be accepted, but they
don't get any input into date/place).
