I think that about 99% of the ads without prices are from brokers or
dealers who leave off the price because they want you to call so they
can start talking to and selling you.

Most of the good brokers seem to print most or all of their prices (don't
know why some are not printed). Sometimes I think they leave them out of
the print, but put them on the web.

OTOH, a broker who doesn't print the price is likely to be trying to size
you up and milk you for all he can get when you call. Caveat Emptor.

Question I had: Take Jack Allison....please. He's a pilot, looking for a
plane. He won't get a FREE subscription because he's not already an owner.

Answer: For now Jack might pick up a copy at the FBO - 5,000 copies sent
out
to FBO's.

Wow, you used my name *and* they knew me? :-) I'm expecting my free
copy to show up any day. Thanks for putting in a good word for me. Not
that it did a lot of good but, hey, you tried.

With the proliferation of web sites selling planes, another print
version isn't going to do much for me. Now, if they do like TAP and
offer you website access with the subscription, I'll take it. Need
prices though. Of all the planes I've considered, I think inquired
maybe twice on planes without prices.

The subscription is FREE. I am fuzzy on where they're heading with that web
page. Hope they don't offer FREE web - but only to the subscribers -
username, etc. That would be silly. Web content is wait and see I guess.

If Aircraft Owner (AO) can offer (real) value to owner/pilots, it'll do ok.
If not....

Can we ask ...how's your hunt going?

Just curious, why the hostility towards TAP?

Playful jab :-)

Company line....(upstart) Pappa John's vs. Pizza Hut.

Uh oh. We're getting into "explaining the joke" territory here, and
that *never* works out well.

However...financier J.P. Morgan was asked by a reporter how much his
yacht cost to operate. "If you have to ask, you can't afford it," he
replied.

I take the absence of prices being mentioned in an advertisement to
indicate that they're selling stuff that falls into that category.

With the explanation, it may not be funny, but I hope at least you
understand what I was getting at, anyway.

No, you can't ask. I could tell you but I'd have to...you know the rest...
