NC Wave Camp

We have had interest in a Wave Camp in the southeast this winter. The
tentative dates are February 20th through the 28th. We will base at
Shiflet Field (9A9) at Marion, NC. Marion is approximately 30 miles
east of Asheville, NC on I40. It's just southeast of Mt. Mitchell and
is close to the primary wave area. Generally you can get in the wave
without needing to fly through rough rotor. Wave camps have been held
here in the past, with many attendees reaching gold and diamond
altitudes.

As we get costs, hotels, etc. worked out, I'll create a flyer we can
distribute to everyone. Hotels will probably be availble in the $69/
night range. In the mean time, if you are interested would you please
send me an email with your contact info, I'll start maintaining a
list. Also, would you please forward this preliminary information to
any clubs or distribution lists that you think may have interest in
the camp.
