Default Woodstock Project For Sale

Woodstock project for sale. Consists of 99% of the metal parts, complete and ready for construction, and most of the AN hardware needed to complete the glider. Party who purchases parts and materials will also receive a complete set of Woodstock plans, construction manual, 13 meter plans, Brooks' construction manual, and Brooks' jig plans. About $1,200 and over 100 hours of shop time invested. Asking $500. I am not interested in selling just the plans. Serious inquiries only please.

The project consists only of the metal parts that are constructed as part of building the glider and associated AN hardware.

Les, I hope you're doing well. I followed your project blog (and a couple other Woodstock blogs) while they were available.

When Soaring Magazine published the Woodstock poster I had it on my wall for years. I wanted one of those little birds so bad, if my father had let me drag a bandsaw up to our little second-story apartment I probably would have covered the living room in sawdust.

I still have in mind to retool the Woodstock design with a carbon fiber spar, and maybe some other concessions to the declining availability of good quality wood. Maybe someday when I have some free time.

Bob,

Good to hear from you again. I am well, but not flying much anymore. I hate to sell the my Woodstock items, but I guess it is time. What you describe, what I would call a Woodstock refit project, would be lots of fun. I have always felt there should be many more of these little birds flying.

I hope you are doing well.

Les

For anybody who buys this project, if you finish the wing spars I will
give you for free all the BC4W9 bellcrank bearings and RE3M6-2N rod ends
you need to finish the project.

In the early 1950s, Dick Scrhreder and Irv Culver and those guys bought a
lot of those litte parts as surplus for pennies on the dollar, and they
used a lot of them in their designs. But they've since become a bit
pricey.

Thanks, Bob K.
