Osprey 2 modifications
Hi Gang: Any real world results from the modifications to the basic Osprey 2 plans? Specifically the fuselage stretch and the increase in wing span? Just wondering about the benefits of these modifications. tailwinds, Terry |

plans? Specifically the fuselage stretch and the increase in wing span? I'd be real careful about a wing span increase. Without knowing the particulars of this mod, it's real easy to increase span and consequently decrease safety margins as the bending moments go up. Ed Wischmeyer |

Ed Wischmeyer Hi Ed: This is why I asked the question, I've followed the Osprey 2 for years on and off. Recently I've read a lot of references to the two modifications that I mentioned, I was wondering just how common it was. There is a Osprey project that has been sitting idle here in town, I've heard it has some deviations from the plans. I should go have a visit to see just what he has done. Tailwinds, Terry. |

Hi Jim: One small correction, I believe you still have to purchase the plans directly from George Pereira at Osprey Aircraft, Dept. SA 3741 El Ricon Way, Sacramento, CA 95864. The web link I have for Osprey aircraft has not worked for quite a while now, anybody have a current one? tailwinds, terry. |
