Default Recommend A&P Tulsa Area?

Anyone have any credible A&P recommendations for a C-172 pre-buy in the
Tulsa OK area?

Thanks;
Carl

Good idea asking for recommendations. I wish I had done so.

I would highly recommend NOT using Southwest Aviation Specialties at
Riverside Airport. When I (in my ignorance) allowed them to do a
prebuy/Annual on my 172 in 2001, they left the seat stops off, installed the
pilot seat belts backwards, left two ignition wires loose, didn't check the
fuel tank repair for leaks, left a copper seal off one spark plug, and left
a tool under the floorboard near elevator cables (found at the next annual).
They also overcharged considerably, in my opinion.

But other than the listed items, I think they did a great job! G

I have learned a lot from and since that experience. And it reminds me - I
need to look up the result of the FAA action being taken against them at
that time. Must not have been anough, as their web site still lists the
same people as working there.

Hope the tool was a nice one. Snap-On, maybe? You can bet your ass
that there was no action taken, other than the customary slap on the
wrist. They would rather go after pilots that don't have all of the
paperwork in their planes.
