Default X Plane Brakes

I have the latest version of X Plane. Why won't the brakes stop the
plane? Flying the default Cessna, I can set down as slowly and early
as possible and still roll right off the end of the runway. Tried
both "regular strength" and "max strength" brake application.

what key or axis to you have the command bound to ? if, for example,
you bound it to the "B" key on your keypad you might want to check if
it is remaining active after you press, or it might be a momentary
engagement which would explain why you keep going.
