Default 2007 Air Sailing Cross Country Camp June 3-8, 2007

2007 Air Sailing Cross Country Camp (21st annual),
June 3-8 at Air Sailing Gliderport, Reno, NV USA.

This 6-day camp (Sunday afternoon through Friday) offers
a safe and comfortable introduction to cross-country
soaring suitable for beginning and intermediate cross-country
pilots.

Days begin with enjoyable and informative classroom
sessions in the morning, continue with lead & follow
flights in the afternoons, and frequently conclude
with an optional evening activity. You'll learn from
experienced lead (or mentor) pilots who regularly make
recreational cross country flights in the Great Basin
and elsewhere.

The facilities at Air Sailing are fantastic, so come
join us for some great flying, a wealth of practical
cross-country knowledge and an opportunity to hang
around glider people for an entire week. Unfortunately,
there are no high performance gliders for rent, so
you'll need to bring your own.

The camp is sponsored by Air Sailing, Inc., an all-volunteer
and donor-supported 501c3 (non-profit) organization,
and all registration fees go to either direct camp
operating expenses or to support Air Sailing operations
(no one is paid). Our costs are surprisingly low, so
check us out!

I will gladly answer questions from potential applicants
in private emails or phone calls. Also, I have an information
and registration packet that I will send out on request.
I will not answer RAS follow-up posts, but there are
a lot of camp alumni and lead pilots who regularly
post in this forum who might.

Thanks,
David Prather

This is one of the best things a budding XC pilot can do for
themselves. It's a fantastic week, and you will emerge a completely
different pilot. The folks at AirSailing are top notch and the
soaring is world class.

Just go!
