Details please, or don't you want to discuss your visit to a brothel in a
public forum? My wife says its OK to land there, but I better be outside

when
she gets there. By the way, she pulled into the truck-turn-around before I
could even ask for Janey to whitness my landing. There are times when a

crew
can be too efficient.

Or maybe times when one should delay the call for help?

Pez goes out on his first glider ride.

Any similarity between any people, places and events is purely

coincidental
and I don't have any money anyway so don't sue me.

Do any of the monkeys at Williams know what that Ace of Spades on the glider
trailer means?

It takes us normal people a week to figure out the things that John puts in his
cartoons. Lets see, now. Ace of spades is a Black ACE or one who has been
responsible for the distruction of 5 of his own aircraft. Now who at Williams
has accomplished that feat?

After a week of intense scrutinizing by the boys at Bletchly Park, I am proud
to announce that Shelton's code has been broken. The trailers in the cartoon at
Williams, CA are as follows:
7V-------------Ray
NK------------Gary
2 certifiable--- 2C otherwise known as Sergio (all 3 diamonds in one flight)
Sombrero---- Juan Bravo (1B)
Ace of Spades ---JJ
Big Hat--------------PK

Now some may not understand the Big Hat, so a brief explanation is in order. We
have a Squadron Commander at Williams (don't all gliderports have a CO?) Nobody
is sure if ours was appointed by higher authority or just self appointed, but
anyway, PK is our Squadron Commander.. Last spring, our CO made a call for all
available aircraft to mount a deep penetration strike on Hollister Gliderport
to capture the *Capture Trophy*. I'm sure your familiar with the capture
trophy, a sailplane must fly-in, land and claim the trophy. The trophy is then
the proud possession of the new gliderport, until it is once again captured by
the marauding hordes of barbarians from down south.

After several aborted attempts to capture the trophy, a pilot from Avenal (call
sign, Mother Hubbard) Posted the following on the Williams net:

I hear a lot of talk about the Williams Mongols, coming down and capturing our
trophy. Hide the women and children! Hide the sheep too! Haven't seen anything
yet, Think you guys are just a bunch of drugstore cowboys, ALL HAT------NO
CATTLE. Our CO has proudly worn his Big Black Hat, ever sense.

That may have been me in my ASW-20. Janey's was closed at the time, it was the
yearly vacation time for the girls. The caretaker wouldn't let me use the phone
until Janey came back from town. He was scared to death of the woman and her
sister. Bad place to land.

Old Janey was a good old girl, never met a trucker or glider pilot she didn't
love.

I was at Truckee a few years ago when someone landed out at Janey's in a
fifteen meter. Must have been Ok, but his message to his crew (son, about 25)
was "Hurry .. and bring money."
