Default Naples FBO

We're planning to fly to Naples, Fl over New Years. Can anyone recommend an
FBO at APF?
Thanks in advance.

Hi David

http://www.naples-air-center.com/

They have been recommended by quite a few people I know on this side of the
pond. I haven't used them myself but let me know how you get on as I'm
planning on going there myself next year.

I know the Brit military, and take it from me that they make better friends
than enemies. The Royal Navy is well respected by our guys.

Might just add that you maybe should call ahead as their ramp is very full that
time of the year. All the richy rich types bring their expensive winged toys
when they visit during the holidays and ramp space is at a premium.

There's only one FBO in Naples. Its the Naples Airport Authority. They
have a monopoly. And use it.

Enjoy the comments on Airnav.com

I fly into Naples once a month. They always treat me right. Even get to use the
car to drive for breakfast. The fuel prices are a bit on the high side, but
they cater to deep pocket clientel.
During the Hurricane I repositioned my bird to Naples and they took good care
of it.

Good barbeque joint right across the street. From the NAA, walk out the
the drive to the road and cross the street.

I have flown to APF over the last 2 Christmas and New Years. Naples
Air Center is the only FBO, I believe it is run by the city of Naples.
Prices are high, but not higher than any other big or resort city, and
in my experience the level of service has always been good.

One comment - there will be a LOT of biz jets at APF during this time.
Naples Air Center parked my Cherokee 180 between 2 Challenger biz jets
- which made a great picture, but then I started thinking about
sorting through the damage repairs should a storm throw my 180 into
one of the Challenger's wings.... I had them move my plane.

The "they", you are referring to, are the line guys etc. Great people,
no doubt. But still, NAA, aka "the management" is using their
monopolistic position, hence the high fuel prices. They are also getting
sued right now, because of alleged violation of the sherman act.

Cheers,
Jens

You're mixing things. Naples Airport Authority is the FBO. Naples Air
Center is a flight school on the field, and they are not a FBO.
