I looked: it prefaced the story by saying that if the Newtonian
explanation (f=m.a) is used, people understand more easily than if the
Bernouillian explanation is offered.

Who would disagree with that?

Not sure I understand where you're going with this. I used to give
seminars with instructors in attendance. Simple!
