Default New novel and it's a good one

Just read a very good novel by Homer Hickam (October Sky). Titled The
Keeper's Son.. Lots of adventure and romance. A great book to curl
up in your chair with a cup of hot chocolate and just enjoy. Stephen
Coonts says it's great, too. Set on the Outer Banks during WWII.

Does it contain anything about military aviation?

Probably as much on-topic as your Bob Hope posts, not to mention the
repeated "hanger-hangar" gibes. Live in a glass house much?

Its hero is a Coast Guard officer. This one's not about military
aviation but about an 83-foot patrol boat vs. a U-boat. Hickam's a
pilot, though, and his web site says that this is a start of a series
and the next book will have his hero in a PBY in the Solomons. So
it's almost on topic.
