Default Jay Carter's jump take off gyro

At Oshkosh this year I watched Rusty Nance (Current Pres PRA) flying the
little Carter gyrocopter perform a jump takeoff that went from ground to
around 100' in the air and then just flew away. Jay Carter showed me a
video where the ship jumped straight into the air and came straight back
down to the same spot. Yeah I know...The ship was useable after the
landing. This little ship is making my helicopter nervous.

TV in Spain presented a film showing a Cierva gyro performing jump takeoffs
and vertical landings in 1937!!! Despite of it, no helicopter must be
nervous. Due to the marginal cruisng performances, the rotorcrafts are used
for jobs mostly in hoverig and there is no chance for gyros.
