What has this got to do with military aviation?

Not much... but it is using a wing and nacelles more common to an
aircraft. A few years back a company was trying to make a LSR vehicle
out of a Starfighter (haven't updated on that one, so I don't know how
successful they were).
Anyway, the current LSR holder Thrust SSC uses aircraft jets to attain
Mach 1 on land and it seems that all future LSR holders will be
increasingly using military aircraft configurations and technology
(even former pilots) to push the LSR up.
Anyway, it is an interesting craft and posting it here shouldn't make
any more difference considering this NG is plagued by political OT
stuff most of the time anyway or even just civilian aviation posts.
Lighten up Dan.
