My older son was always queasy after flying, despite my best efforts to give
him an airliner-quality ride (and I mean a Bob Moore quality airliner ride,
not today's super discount ride). Then one day he asked if we could do
aerobatics. I said not today, but there are some fun things we can do that
you might enjoy. I went through the PPL checkride manuevers. He loved it.
Sometimes you can be too gentle.

For those that have their PPL, when was the last time anybody else did
a turn around a point since their VFR training days?

Either that or maybe he was psyched up and read to fly? Did he go up
afterwards?

No, he wasn't particularly psyched up that day, and has enjoyed flying since
then. I think he enjoys it more now than before.

There's a certain thrill associated with motion which is a little out of the
ordinary but not extreme or dangerous. Think about the money people pay for
rides at amusement parks. I think stalls in a gently-stalling airplanes or
steep turns are in that category.

Do a push over for a little floating sensation :-) Don't have to be
extreme or dramatic, just enough to get the weight off the rear endl

I always ask before doing one of these, and always a hit especially
with kids whey they say "just do it".

I think that's a great idea, I'm going to give it a try.
