Default Fed EX and Joint Reserve Base

It seems that every Saturday morning around 9-10 AM I see a FedEx plane
flying over Benbrook, TX at what I'm guess to be between 3,000 to 5,000 ft.

He looks like he is a little off to be going to the Joint Reserve Base
(Carswell), but that's the only thing I can figure that he is going.

I wouldn't think that he would be near that low if he was going to AFW.

It may be everyday, but I have only noticed it on Saturdays because my son
plays baseball and he fly's right over us.

Any idea's of why he is so low in this area?

I don't know...

I'm not that good at plane spotting...

Large and not a 727.

Does FedEx even use 727 any more?

2 engines on the wings.

Could be, but I wouldn't think that he would be close to the pattern, and
also I can't imagine why FedEx would be flying into FTW, especially when the
hub (AFW) is a few miles north.

I just wonder in the base gets like a weekly shipment in or something?

Who knows...

Yes, they still use B-727s. They also use Airbus A-300s and DC-10s. Both are
larger than a 727 with the DC-10 having a third engine on the tail. If they
are flying that low, there is an airport in the area.
