Default Gene Littner has flown West

Gene Littner was an aeronautical engineer who has served as the interpreter
and distributor for Piel aircraft plans in North America. In addition, he
designed and built several aircraft.

He passed from this vale of tears on the evening of June 1st. The Emerauders
mourn his loss.

One of the group inscribed his passing with some words to his daughter that
all of would do well to note. I'm sure he would not mind if I quote them
here.

"I, and, I'm sure, everyone else on this list, share your grief.
This world is not ours to keep, and our passing on earth can only be traced
on the hearts of others.
A man's accomplishment, in my opinion, is not measured by what he built or
by
how much money he earned; his journey is footprints on our soul,
cast with tears and laughter, with a final polishing of pain and sorrow,
that lead to a higher, wider and far greater place.

He will thread our souls until we too, pass on.
Then, we will meet again..."

Be gentle with each other, my fellow aviators. Tread lightly on each other's
soul.

Rich Shankland
