Trying Volavoile.net is a good idea, especially if you have good
French (I don't).
Looking back over the thread I'm not clear what is your exact
problem? Is the Certificate of Conformity wrong/has errors? If the
trailer has French registration then presumably the French thought
the (French) paperwork was in all in order?
Have you tried to contact the French authorities by email, attaching
copies of your documents?
During my protracted registration process I was advised, by the
French authorities, to have the trailer inspected by the French DRIRE
authorities. This was done at no small expense and trouble and the
trailer was pronounced roadworthy and the all the documents were
deemed correct. The French registration authorities then declined to
accept the DRIRE recommendation and simply said "Non" (again). So
my advice would be to continue trying to sort the paperwork and do
not get involved in physical trailer inspections because the
registration authorities and the inspection authorities are two quite
different systems and they don't seem to integrate.
i'm resident here in France and would be happy to get a "connect"
number if that would help.
Best of luck.

Problem is, the original registration documents are incorrect, and the trailer has since been deregistered. The serial number and weights are wrong, there is no possible way to change this document anymore. Also, Anschau can't provide me with a certificate of conformity as it doesn't exist for this trailer, and won't make one, even at a cost. Basically, I own a trailer with no papers.

I called the RDW and they said they do home built trailers up to 750kg, which is the same for Belgium. Any idea where I could find the info that they would allow 850kg home built trailers?

Any way to remove 100kg from the trailer and then call it a "home built" trailer? Fenders, internal supports for the glider, spare tire, etc? Go get it registered, then put back what you need?

No, you own a pile of loose parts.Â* See if you can assemble them into a
home made trailer, give it a data plate with your name as manufacturer,
and create a serial number for it.Â* Or is that not an option in your
country?

Sell your trailer to the Uk where trailers do not have to be registered so

no documentation is needed. Then buy another one from a write off
with the correct documentation.

That would probably be the best option

Not in Belgium. We can only register home made trailers up to 750 kg, and I'd like it to have a licence plate, which needs a certificate of conformity or the correct original registration documents :/
