Default FS 2004 Error Help

Hello

I have been having a problem with FS these last few days. I run fs under xp
home with a crapload of ram and a good video card. I get this error if I
try to task out or quit fs.

"The procedure entry Point Get currentthread could not be located in the
dynamic link library Kernel32.dll"

I have seen this somewhere but I can't place it. Anyone seen this? Also,
DXdiag is reporting the error and it also crashes. I noticed My fan had
failed on my video card last week, and I was wondering if that could be my
problem.

Let me know your thoughts

5.03 version. I have used FS for months with no problems until now

The reason I ask is that a few people are reporting problem with DirectX 9.0c which gets installed with SP2 and or
Window Media Player 10 and is still not in release. 5.xx would be about 2-3 years old and should certainly cause some
problems with FS9.
