Default Is AWC an approved weather source?

There used to be a disclaimer in aviationweather.gov that it was not an
approved source. But I can't find that disclaimer anymore. Has AWC become
an approved source? I recall an AC that was issued some time ago that
authorized certain internet based weather to be considered official.

It does not record your tail number so the FAA will presume you did
not check the weather.
