Spouse wants you work in the yard all weekend.
You want to go flying.
Your mission - should you choose to accept it -
Create a Letterman style top ten list of why you should go flying.
I realllllly need this right now

Not a top ten, nor in any order, but some ideas you might be
able to run with.

I need to take aerial photos of the yard so I can analyze
what needs to be done. Hey, it's cheaper than buying satellite
images from SpaceImaging.com!

I need to get a new part for the mower and the closest place
to get it is in a hardware store 300 miles away. If I can pick
it up by noon I'll get a 10% dicsount!

I loaned the widgetbuster 2000 to Bill over at the other airport
and I need to fly over there to pick it up.

The mower runs better on 100LL and the only place to get it is
at the airport three counties over.

10. My instructor said I need to fly every week and practice landings
so I don’t hurt myself.

9. Flying the plane is the best way to get the dust off the wings.

8. Gas prices are going up. It will be cheaper now than ever again.

7. All those other airplanes going over the house are too distracting
and I can’t concentrate.

6. I need to check the status of the ozone layer to make sure
we are safe.

5. I need to re-check the ozone layer to see if it changed from
my airplane emissions that I spread when I was checking the ozone
layer.

4. I feel the need…the need for speed.

3. I need to clean the bugs of the windshield and leading edges,
therefore I need to go out and smash some more bugs to clean.

2. I’m getting a headache from all this gravity.

And the number one reason to go flying instead of doing yardwork or
household chores:

1. Honey....at least I’ll stop whining.
