Default Airborne MCM

Hi,
I have some questions about AMCM. I will be thankful if I can get
the answers.
Also please note any e-mail addresses or sources related to the
professional side of AMCM. There is only technical info at AMP-7 or
some other kind of publications, not many tactical things. Because of
this reason I needed to get answers to my questions below.
1. What is the altitude of helo during sweeping or hunting ops? Does
it differ due to the type of ops?
2. What is the calculation method for clearance percentage in an area?
How do you find detection probability (B)?
3. Do you know the details the use method of laser in AMCM?

Thanks...

The only MCM helo that I know about is the MH-53 and I am not sure if they
are even in the inventory anymore.

They used to drag a sled around behind the helo and the sled was energized
by a generator on-board the helo. The electric field generated by the sled
was supposed to be enough to set off the mines. Anyway, the distance from
the helo to the sled was dictated by the electrical requirements of the
generator/sled setup and the helo could not be too far away. So the answer
to your first question is "not very high".

Don't know the answers to 2 & 3.

Many thanks to all your kind answers. Especially the related article
is very useful Mr.Moore. I will be glad if you can tell me the
altitude of mcm helo during any kind of operation. Does the altitude
differ due to the type of operation or is there a fixed altitude? And
also I want to learn tactical details about AMCM apart from the allied
publications like sweep width and etc.
Thanks again...

(1) enlist and get a clearance and work in this field.

or (2) get a commission, get a clearance, and work in this field.

or (3) explain why you would need this info?

AMCM but I cannot reach these info. So I tried to get info in this

I think this may need to be said simply to cross the language barrier.

The information you are asking for may be classified, or at least sensitive.

When someone asks for detailed information (specific altitudes, speeds,
etc.), about how military units conduct operations, this raises questions
about their motives. While you may just be curious, it's not hard to
imagine that an enemy might want this kind of information to set a trap for
an airborne MCM helicopter.
