Do you have anymore of Jackson Field ??
My dad was based there (ground crew) from 1943 to 1945.

My dad was based there (ground crew) from 1943 to 1945.

Dad was known to say that he was one of the most critical and important
personnel on the base.
He held the health and well-being of everybody in the palms of his hands.




He was one of the cooks!! :-p

I have one other in this series that I didn't think was post-worthy, I'll
scan it shortly.


I also have (somewhere) some short videos - mostly of belly landings, that
have been posted here before. Shoot me your email address and I'll dig
'em out and send them over.
