What ever happened to "thou shalt not kill"?

From an Oh-Dark-Thirty chat with the chaplain while I was TOC duty officer, in
the original Greek & Hebrew, the passage reads

"Thou shalt not murder"

That is a major difference as it implies some killing is moral and justified.
See IIRC St Augustine's doctrine of "Just War"
