Default Compaq Aero 1500

Am trying to get back into flying with a glider which had a Compaq Aero 1500. Would like to fly before making any changes to instruments. Somehow this PDA doesn't want to wake up any more. Does anybody still have one of these archaic PDAs lying around, and in working order?

Amazon has (expensive) replacement batteries still available.

No need to make any changes to the instruments - just run XCSoar on an Android phone. Fully standalone except for a booster battery it will work fine.

.... and on this side of the pond EBay has them at quite reasonable prices
while Amazon UK is out of stock and doesn't know when they'll have any
more.

$80.00??

Ouch! For just a little more you can buy a Quad core Sony Xperia 3 on Ebay and run XCSoar. Makes a great glide computer!

don't have one of those, but I do have an HP iPAQ hx4700 that has some life left in it, at least on the charger stand. Haven't used it in years, but still have original packaging and all the parts/documentation. Let me know if that's of interest to you, and we can arrange it.

Half that price from Battery World and BatteryTex. Bezos isn't always your best option. :-)
