Default Roosevelt Field runway length

What was the length of the runway Lindbergh used at the
beginning of his 1927 flight?

This site here lists 5000 feet as the runway length. Can that be
accurate? That's a long runway for 1927 I would gather. And dirt, no
less...

This next site was a very interesting read (I live on Long Island so
the history lesson was fabulous!), but doesn't provide much
information on the 1920's circa Roosevelt Field. It does, however,
mention something I did not know - that the latter day Roosevelt Field
was not the same Roosevelt Field that Lindbergh used!

Thanks for sending me on an entertaining sidetrack! Hope this
info helps you...
