Default WANTED: Trig Circular Hole Adapters

I bought a used Trig TT22 transponder but it didn't come with the semi-circular mounting adapters ("circular hole adapters"). I need these as my install will be going into a round hole.

I am hoping that someone somewhere installed a Trig transponder (or Trig transceiver) into an oblong hole and thus has laying around an unused set of the mounting adapters that I could buy from them.

Please let me know.

Thanks, John (OHM)

Hi John,

You would be welcome to have mine FOC but they're in my hangar which I'll have no access to for quite some time. Sorry!

Casey,

Thanks for the offer. I won't be doing the install until the March time frame so I might take you up on your kind offer.

Short of finding these adapters I could just (temporarily?) use some aluminum plate to make a transition piece from the rectangular hole pattern of the control head to the square hole pattern of the 56mm round instrument cutout. The head wouldn't be flush to the panel face but, aesthetics aside, it would work. And how often do I even LOOK at the transponder anyway?

John,

You could buy a hole plug very inexpensively and cut out what you don't
need. Or you could contact Trig...

Basically what I was thinking of doing. Take a blank 57mm hole cover plate and drill a 57mm (2-1/4") hole in the middle of it. I would add rivnuts as I find myself flinging swear words at instruments that use loose nuts and bolts. Then drill and countersink the 4 rectangular spaced holes into the hole cover to attach the control head. Boom.

John,

I think I have two sets of the adapters, I'll look and send you a PM.
