Great report - thanks. A couple of comments: 1. www.avweb.com have a great review of the CO detectors on the market as well as some of the background related to thresholds etc. 2. It would be interesting to see if a PowerFlow system changes the numbers. 3. Did you try fiddling with the mixture? Perhaps leaning the mixture might lower the CO numbers? 4. It would be interesting to plot a graph (airspeed vs. CO) in various phases of flight. Climb phase would be good, be I guess I'd be more interested in the descent and landing phase since that's where CO is more likely to cause problems. 5. I've been sitting on the fence, but you might have just pushed me over the edge. I once had a flight in a Cutlass - gave me a really bad headache, and I essentially couldn't stand after the flight - bad situation. It was either CO or lack of sleep - I've never figured out which but a CO detector sure would have helped. Thanks for you report! Hilton |
