Default The Navy flew P-63s

Or so the Navy's history folk claim. They list, on page 534 of the
Serial Numbers list, the XFL-1 (BuNo 1588). This is the Airabonita.
The Navy cancelled Bu Nos for five more F2L-1s (page 552). Cancelled
was the purchase of two P-63s (Bu Nos 90060-90061; page 549). On
that same page is a listing for two F2L-1Ks, Bu Nos 91102 and 91103;
for what purpose? Were these the L-39s used for swept-wing tests?

The L-39-1s (90061/90062) were the only Navy P-63s.
The F2L-1Ks (91102/91103) were ex P-39Qs. These were target drones,
operated until 1946 by VJ-5.
The canceled F2L-1s were 122447-122451.
BuNo 90060 was part of canceled batch of RY-3s.
