Default US NAvy Hul Numbers

AeroFile is pleased to announce...

The 2004 edition of

"United States Navy Hull Numbers Since 1920 -- Volume 1"

was Published September 2004 and is now available.

As well as being completely updated with information up to August 2004, many
new listings have been added. The Amphibious Warfare designations have been
completely overhauled and now include British Lend-Lease ships as well as
earlier designations before the standardized L designator was adopted. The
Destroyer section now includes Destroyer Leaders, Destroyer Minesweepers,
Destroyer Escorts and Frigates. The Cruiser section includes earlier and
concurrent designation types to the main CA / CL sequence. Lend-Lease Escort
Carriers have been added in the Aircraft Carrier section. Five new
appendices has been added.


Specifications

Here is a short list of some detailed specifications


a.. Six major types of major combatant ship types
b.. In all, forty-two different hull number series or sequences
c.. One hundred and ten separate designation types
d.. Over 4,100 separate hull numbers listed
