See, It always comes down to the "windows thing." You only post in yEnc

there IS that Windows thing).

Y'know Russell, you either have a reading comprehension problem, or
your purposefully ignore anything that doesn't fit with your
preconceptions. I have TWICE stated quite clearly that I post in yEnc
because I have long used PowerPost for batch posting, and continued to
do so when PowerPost went yEnc only. I didn't even know what that
meant when it happened, and I posted loads of files (both images and
sounds) in a variety of groups without learning much about yEnc until
this past week. Why? Because only in this group does there seem to
be any controversy. I can honestly state that nowhere else has my
posting in yEnc ever been questioned or criticized. I found it
remarkable a group that contains some images of very high tech
machinery also happened to be under the sway of people with head in
the sand attitudes toward improved technology.

So it has nothing whatever to do with OE--until this past week, I
didn't even know OE was so backward that yEnc support wasn't built in.
I tried OE some time ago and didn't like it, but that had absolutely
nothing to do with file posting. I use Agent, but I rarely post
images with it--PowerPost is much easier.

But thanks to this group, I know much more about yEnc, and I see its
superiority every time I post a 1280X1024 image and still find it
taking up considerably less room in the group than a UU image. In
fact, I think I'll post my answer to Andrew's latest challenge both
ways so that the size difference is apparent (although the difference
varies with the nature of the image).

There you go again. It's a recurring theme...
