Advice on Ford V-8 Engine Thought

Björn Flodén and his wife built one of the first BD-4s back in the 70s. When
they moved to Colorado he wanted more power and installed a Ford V-8. He
never got it in the air, though, as he passed away before completion. His
daughter wants to sell his project now. While the BD-4 builders help out
with information about the airframe, we know little about this engine. Who
could provide some background information about this monster? Has it been
used by others?

2. Zero hours since blueprinted, balanced, and rebuilt
3. Special cam grind by Camshaft Merchandizer, Detroit Mich.
4. New aluminum Motorsport heads. Chambers at 60cc. CR at 10.36
5. Forty page calculations include:
?a. Engine mount rod calculations
?b. Design load Criteria per A23.3.01
?c. Side load calculations per A23.9
Propeller: Prince Aircraft Co., Whitehouse. Ohio, four blade composite.
78"dia. X 59" pitch

Dan,

There is not much more information about this engine than on the website.
Ben Haas sent a message (which I forwarded to you directly), saying that
the engine with the mentioned components is generally usable.
