Given the hot news here in Colorado, I'm thinking of changing the tail

Cheers,

The U.S. is actually a fairly large country area and population-wise.

No, Really? ;-)
Geez Bill, Why didn't you tell me you live in Vegas? Does national news
even get through the Reality Distortion Field around Lost Wages?
Anyway, you guys'll never get West Nile unless some casino doesn't keep
their fountain clean!
Oh, and talk about one small piece of dirt ;-)

My wife got the joke right away. West Nile virus outbreak. Mosquitoes.
The news in the U.S. and especially in Colorado is covering it
extensively (once they can rip themselves away from California and
Arnold). If you look at the numbers on the CDC (that's Centers for
Disease Control) website, you'll see that the West Nile (WN, Whiskey
November, West Nile Glasflugel Mosquito, get it?) virus outbreak is most
severe in Colorado.
Thus my, what I didn't think was cryptic at all, post.

CDC figures are late in getting updated. Colorado Department of Health

puts

the total at 195 and 5 deaths as of yesterday. There are probably another
100 unconfirmed cases out there and there's probably several weeks of

prime

mosquito weather left this year.

This morning's count 215 total, 6 dead, and 78 screened, awaiting
confirmation, at our local medical center.

Compared to influenza, its still small time, but one more thing to worry
about. Flu, Hanta, West Nile, Hep. A-ZZZ etc.

The smell of Citronella wafting on the breeze...
