Default Car Salesmen and Soaring

The local morning news looked at how trustworthy americans viewed
people based on occupation. Nurses and school teachers had the highest
90% ratings ... car salesman were lowest at sub 10%. Tim Mara at Wings
and Wheels was a car salesman in a former life. Knowing Tim, I would
say the survey is accurate.

I'm glad Tim is more trustworthy now. I don't think I'd be
tempted to spend my life's savings on a car.

I hope the comment by KiloKilo was intended as a joke. All my dealings with
Tim have been excellent in all respects, unlike those with some individual in
the soaring community who is known never to have been a car salesman!

Cheers, Charles

Is this a joke??? I hope so! Tim may be opinionated and sometimes I
haven't always agreed with some of those opinions, but doing business with
wings and wheels has always been straight up. Never had a problem on a
return and shipping was same or next day.

He provides a great service with the for sale web site. I would wager a
large percentage of US used glider sales have been posted on his site.

(hey Tim,,,,do I get a small discount on the next order???)

I have been a customer of Tim's for the past ten years and never have had an
experience that would cause me to question his integrity.

KiloKilo's post was either a failed attempt at humor or an inappropriate
"cheap shot."

I agree with Wayne and the others writing in support of Tim.

I have asked for Tim's advice on products and then spent considerable money
based on that advice. I haven't been disappointed.

I hope KiloKilo is kidding here.

I wish I had known Tim BEFORE I bought my glider more
than 10 years ago. I might still have gotten the same
glider, but he might have advised me on the real market
value of the ship. Since I've known about Tim and
his services, I've always been pleased with his products
and his advice.

If he had a car to sell, and I needed to buy a car,
I wouldn't have any reservations about buying from
him. As long as the car didn't come from where he
lives: The Rust Belt.

What a cheap shot!
I was out of soaring for an extended time and when I came back, I was
fortunate enough to find Tim's business and services. He has never steered
me wrong and I think he gives back a great deal to the very small gliding
community.
If you have some personal or business issues with him, why don't you find
another arena to settle them.
Character assasination is offensive to me and I suspect to others as well.

I have had many dealings with Tim, and never been misled. A few times I
wanted to order something and he advised me not to buy--but to fix what I
had. He could have easily sold me what I didn't need. Everything I have
bought has been "as advertised". Diogenes would be pleased with Tim.

1.) What a cheap-shot!

2.) Tim Marra and his opperation @ Wings & Wheels are both 1st Class. He is
honest, opperates according to very professioanl business practices, works long
hours (so he can provides HUGE amounts of free advice/support --even on
products he does not sell), sells at very fair prices (often the lowest pricing
you can find anywhere) and is a true supporter of Soaring. I'll say that again
--he is a true supporter of soaring in every respect. His character is beyond
question within the soaing community.

3.) How dare you use RAS as your forum to spew-off such agressive bull-****.
If you have a misuderstanding with Tim Marra, pick up the phone, explain your
problem and then listen to what he says in response. I am convinced that Tim
can find a solution to just about any problem -- if the person he is dealing
with is reasonable and honest. Give it a try, you might be supprised.

4.) Please thing hard about your original post and what it means...and then do
the right thing --apologize to Tim (using this thread) for using RAS as a
public forum.
