Default Annual inspections on D-registered gliders in the US

Looking for a German inspector for D-registered glider in Southern
California

A German registered glider requires an annual by a German inspector
Class III (Pruefer Klasse III) and over the last years I realized that
this species is not easy to find over here. With the new EASA CAMO
rules the physical inspection frequency can be reduced to only once
every 3 years, but this still does not solve the problem of finding
the appropriate inspector at that time (and flying one in from Germany
is not the most cost effective solution)
Is there any 'Pruefer Klasse III' around here who could help? Is
anyone with the appropriate license temporarily on business in the Los
Angeles area from time to time?

Thanks!!

The SSA Convention starts next week in Little Rock. One of the German
manufacturers may have someone there with the proper credentials.
You'd have to either entice them to continue on to CA or find a
California person who needs transport to the convention and would be
willing to drive the trailer to Arkansas and coordinate the inspection
if you cover gas, etc. Obviously it's much easier if there's someone
closer who can do this.
Cheers,
Craig

I have the opposite problem. I shipped my US-registered LS8 to Europe
last year, and now I am looking for an FAA A&P inspector in Germany to
do an annual inspection over there.

Thanks!
