If you are a US registered glider pilot and complete a Badge Leg
qualifying flight while in Canada, how to you satisfy SWMBP - you know,
She Who Must Be Pleased - the SSA Badge Lady?

You submit the claim to the badge chairman of the Soaring Association
of Canada (Walter Weir) who reviews the claim and provides a
recommendation to the SSA Badge Lady, who makes the final decision. If
you have a logger, submitting a second floppy of the .igc file is a
good idea. All the necessary documentation (standard FAI claim forms,
etc) used in Canada are on the SAC webpage, at www.sac.ca., under SAC
services link, then documents link.

I did the reverse, two badge legs flown in the US, and my claims went
from Judy to Walter, in very short order... I greatly appreciate the
additional effort on both their parts. Really, it's no big deal for
the pilot claiming the task; you get the bonus of two experienced sets
of eyes confirming your accomplishment.

Thnks Dan, I'll print out the documents and plan to send them in after
the flight.
