Anybody out there who would be prepared to make up a `pigtail`lead for me.

Possibly. Do you mean the with 5-pin circular Binder plug or with RJ45
ethernet plug?

The Binder part number for the circular plug is 99 0095 100 05 and costs
about 7UKP.

The wiring for the Binder plug is given at
http://www.spsys.demon.co.uk/images/gcscable.gif

Making your own would be cheaper, but PM me if you can't.
