Default Our local fuel prices just went up again!

Sometime over the last week, our FBO at Syracuse, NY, quietly raised 100LL
fuel prices again. It is now $3.88 per gallon, which I believe has
surpassed the fuel prices at Signature of Boston's Logan Airport.

I just had to vent.

Come over to Europe. 100LL price in France recently jumped to around
1.35 euros/litre. Which is roughly $6.20/gallon.

Speaking of fuel prices, I was just checking Airnav to see what kinds of
savings I might get if I bought fuel off my own airport. It may not make
sense economically, but prices are getting high enough that I'm just plain
offended at wide disparities.

I found a few airports with significantly lower prices than that found at
Paine Field (KPAE). One is Oak Harbor, where the fuel is even 25 cents less
expensive than other neighboring "cheap" fuel locations. $2.55/gal for
100LL at the last reported time.

Anyone know any caveats about buying fuel there? Is it cheap just because
they want to attract the business? Or is there something "wrong" with it?

For the record, other relatively cheap fuel in the Puget Sound area appears
to be Thun Field in Puyallup (I can confirm, having just bought fuel there a
couple of weeks ago), Tacoma Narrows in Gig Harbor, and Jefferson County in
Port Townsend. They're all selling 100LL for under $3.00/gal.

I was checking Airnav for places to stop on an upcoming trip and saw a
couple of places that were over $4 per gallon. I'm stopping at the places
where it is still under $3 a gallon.

$2.39 in the Billings area. Car gas is on the way back down too. We topped
out at $1.99. Now it is $1.94

My home base (3N6) price just jumped $0.20 to $2.85 credit / $2.75 cash
or with a Philips66 card.

A year ago when my home field was $2.50/$2.40 I really didn't care that
much about the discount, and I just didn't want to be bothered with a
gas credit card, but the prices are so damn high now that I broke down
and got the card. $0.10 ain't much, but it's something.

For what it's worth, the highest I paid recently (in fact, EVER) was
Jacksonville Craig (KCRG) Florida - $3.65. The highest I've seen in the
Northeast is at Bedford (KBED) - $4.10...but I'm boycotting that airport
for other reasons so that doesn't count. :-)
