Default Perfect flying in Colorado today

Looks like perfect conditions for a flight along the Front Range west of
Denver today.

Not!

Here's Jeffco's Metar:

KBJC 051550Z 27055G66KT 10SM FEW030 SCT050 M01/M24 A2987 RMK BLDU ALQDS

And look at this update:

TEMPO 1519 28055G75KT

This is all because I've been waiting for a chance to get night current.

Look at the bright side: find a east-west runway and consider how short your
takeoff roll is gonna be.

When I was going to school in Boulder (a long time ago), we'd have called
that a breeze. We didn't label it windy until the gusts were pushing 100
kts.

Those winds are the Colorado equivalent of California's Santa Ana winds.
They're really nasty in the canyons and right along the foothills.
