Default Vendor recomendation: Stark Avionics

I have not found prices that will beat him. I plan to buy from him in
January and its good to hear this testimonial.

Every once in a while you find a vendor that's so good you almost want

Stark Avionics is that. Incredible prices, great service. He knows
what he's talking about, and doesn't mind sharing.

He's gone above and beyond for me a couple of times. Things he didn't
have to do, that he wasn't morally obligated to do - but they made my
life a lot easier. And made a loyal customer.

That all may be true, but they sure have a bizarre sense for a
website.

Probably just me, but I don't like to have to dig a lot for
information, or have to take another step to find out pricing: I like
to see it right there on the website. They probably do it that way
because the pricing changes all the time, I guess, or they might give
you a different price depending on who you are. No idea really
though, just thought the website strange.

He's selling avionics to homebuilders for WAY below MSRP - it's 5%
over his cost, rounded, instead of 35%. But the distributor agreement
with the avionics manufacturers (Garmin, mostly) absolutely prohibits
you from advertising prices below MSRP. You can tell people your
lower price when they ask but you can't advertise it.

So he sets it up so one click generates an email to him asking for the
price, and a bot on his end answers with the price. A little clumsy
but the alternative is "Call for prices."

I thought it might be something like that.

Hope he remains in business for a while.
