This is type of press LSA needed. Something not in an aviation mag
that potential plots could see.

It will be interesting to see if other mainstream press outlets pick
up on it.

As long as I have been seeing Popular Mechanics and/or Popular Science on
newsstands...and that is a long time...there have been occasional articles
promising an airplane in every garage, or "you can build this airplane" or
whatever. If they made any impression on the general public I haven't
noticed it.

Many decades ago, when I was a kid, I read these articles, avidly. They
fueled the idea that flying might be accessible to me in spite of the fact
that my glasses precluded Air Force flying. If ordinary folks could afford
airplanes, then I could learn to fly -- so I did.

So the answer is yes, they do make an impression on the general public, but
it may take years for any impression to yield action.

I think that two articles which I cut out and still have, started more
people on the homebuilt track than any other until recent times. These
were the BD-4 and Jennie's Tennie/ Tennie Two. And one cannot forget
the BD-4 articles that sold one hell-of-a-lot of never finished kits.
