Internet Aviation Weather Sites

Any thoughts on the best site out there other than the usual suspects ADD,
NOAA ?

What sites and why -- would prefer quick graphics on one page Java based.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Believe it or not, www.weather.com (the weather channel) has an absolutely
superb section for aviation. I have found them to be MUCH more accurate than
the weatherguessers at duat or duats. In preparing for the Kitty Hawk trip, I
found weather.com to be the best choice, although for "legal" purposes, I logged
into the duats site as well.

Even better than The Weather Channel (weather.com) is AccuWeather's aviation
service (http:www.pilotweather.com). I find their forecasts more accurate
three days in advance than Weather Channel's service one day prior.

I can't agree. Accuweather might be more accurate if you can spend the time
navigating a very counterintuitive system. My hit is that unless you want to
spend a lot of time learning and hoping you don't forget some little detail that
would make the forecast worthless, weather.com is my choice.

I just went to weather.com and pilotweather.com. Having never been to
either, I liked pilotweather best. I think three clicks and I was where
I wanted to be.
At weather.com, I never did get where I could really get a good picture
of things, But they do have a good map for an overview.

Another site that I used to go to in the dial-up days before I got on
the internet was the University of Michigan. I don't know if they still
have that system or not. Guess I will try it now..

What about AOPA's site on Weather? Gives all of the links for Sat. Imagery,
Radar Summaries, Forecasts, Winds, Text, etc. I know it links to tied to
Meteorlogix but it's a perk for membership and EASY!
