Default Toronto Island: Does the Air Canada shuttle bus check your tickets?

Does anyone know if the Air Canada shuttle bus that takes people from the
Royal York to the Island Airport checks your tickets? I'm renting from one
of the FBOs on the island tomorrow and need to get there straight from Union,
and it may be better to take that Air Canada shuttle than doing the
Streetcar plus walking or taking a taxi.

I wouldn't count on them not checking. It's about a 20 minute walk
from Union Station to the ferry if you want to hoof it (you just need
to get over to Bathurst, then go down south of Lakeshore).

All the best,

Huh? The streetcar runs direct from Union Station to the park across
from the airport.
I takes all of five minutes (max) to walk through the park to the ferry.

But be careful which streetcar you take. There are two routes on the same
track starting from Union Station. One goes all the way to the airport, the
other turns north at Spadina.
