Can some tell me what the '7000' represents?

For me, US is international..


For you, the U.S. is more likely foreign.
To be international, wouldn't you need to refer to more than a single =
nation?

correctly.

Visibility in metres. 7 km in this case.


Thanks. I've got what is I guess a US book on decoding the Metar
Reports so I guess it doesn't cover international elements.

The VCSH meand 'in the vinicity' -- of what? SH???

Altimeter - 1016mb? Not sure, never used millibars before.


Q1016 is a QNH of 1016 hectopascals (in Oz).
