Default Stolen EB-28 ever found?

Back in December of 2007, an EB-28 was reported stolen in the U.K.
The post stated the trailer was found and the fuselage had been cut in
half, with the cockpit and self-launching engine taken by the thieves.

I just ran across this video:

Is that an EB-28 cockpit?

And a Google search for a picture of the original EB-28 shows a
single canopy, while the one in the video has two.

Hi All, Robin May was/is one of the 2 owners of the ASH25 EB28 that
was stolen and the forward section
of the fuselage (including the cockpit, Solo motor, and almost all of
the prop) taken away - never to be found
again to date - the ASH25 EB28 was one of 10 such gliders manufactured
and sold by Binder Motorenbau
in Ostheim, Germany - before those 10 gliders Binder built one ASH25
EB27 (27 meters wing span) - after
the 10 examples were built and sold Binder produced the EB28 and later
EB28 Edition and EB29 - I own an
EB28 Edition so am familiar with the Binder history -
Robin May was contacted by people who saw the forward fuselage on an
open trailer in Southern France -
they noted the car license number and Robin turned it over to the
police who were not so interested in following
up - as in, more important things to do??? the vehicle was probably
stolen so it remains at a dead end -
Binder built a new fuselase for Robin and his partner and that glider
is flying for the past 2 years - the insurance
paid but Robin was without a glider for a couple years while Binder
built the new fuselage
The fuselage in the video seems to be an ASH25 with the center bow
that separates the front and rear canopies -
Binder gliders have a one piece canopy - I hope this answers some
questions -
regards,
Ralph Woodward
