Aero... Thanks for the tip on their new life. I hope they can keep it
going...

Hello to both of you!

I don't think I have seen either of your names on a post for quite a while,
especially Bruce.

It has been difficult times, with some really pesky troll problems, around
the RA* groups, but filters make life better.

Again, good to see you.

It's making it through, but as HTML. This is antisocial. Please turn off
HTML posting in your newsreader.

Wait till I post a picture! I see the net nannies are alive and vocal as
ever. Jay, I am using the news reader in Netscape 4.2. I am lucky it is
functioning at all. Please filter me out. I did not know that the Internet
Newsgroups were still arguing about the "politeness" of bandwidth.

It's not the bandwidth that's impolite. It's that not everyone reads Usenet
with a web browser. This is merely annoying when it's limited to text; it's
rude beyond belief when you include pictures and other, non-text items.

Here's what your message looks like in a pure text newsreader:

No, they did: Plain text.

Even if user attaches a picture, most of the forwarding sites strip them away
from non-binary groups.

Sure they did. It's just that the standard is plain text, not HTML.
