I don't know the answer to your dilemma, however, there is a picture of the
beast towing a 262 by the nosewheel here.


That is a bit misleading -- it used the nosegear to steer, but there were
cables leading off the towbar to the MLG axles; the actual "oomph" was through
those tensioned cables. Any attempt at physically dragging a 262 by its
nosegear led to an almost guaranteed strut fracture.

There is a "Wings auf der Luftwaffe" episode that features the 262 and shows
the entire procedure for rigging the aircraft to the KK for towing - rather
fascinating to see how they did it.
