Default Contest area for region 9 south

Does anyone know what the official contest area is for Region 9 south
(Tucson, AZ) ? The TP file on WWTPE covers a very large area, and as
I am constructing a map that will be used by many people, I want to
get it right.

Thanks,

Matt Herron

Matt,

If you look closely at the TP file, you'll notice that there is a jump
in the turnpoint numbering at 110 where it skips to 200. Those first
110 turnpoints are the El Tiro (Tucson Soaring Club) area turnpoints,
all within ~150 miles of El Tiro, and will (presumably) be the contest
turnpoints for the Region 9 contest.

The remaining turnpoints are used by the Arizona Soaring Association
(which has a significant cross membership with the Tucson Club, and a
shared contest series), and we use those turnpoints for the contests
away from El Tiro.

See you there in May

Matt,

Ted is correct in that the first 110 turn points will be for Region
9S. The Region 9S file will be on the WWTPE server soon.

Thanks & looking forward to having you race with us!
