3rd World Air Games cancelled

The 3rd World Air Games, which was to have been staged
in 2005, has been cancelled. The decision was taken
this week by the FAI Executive Board at their meeting
in Lausanne, Switzerland as it was considered there
was insufficient time to solve various organisational
problems. This didn’t in any way reflect a lack of
confidence in the two countries bidding, Malaysia and
Poland, who were thanked and congratulated on the work
they have put in and invited to try again another year
